The present situation and development prospect of China's Talc industry

The development of China's industry of talc can be roughly divided into three stages: 60-70 in the last century for the initial formation stage, mainly in the production of talc mining artificial simple, productivity is very low; from 80 to 90s as the fast rising stage, the industrial characteristic of this period is half the work of mining machinery, ordinary talcum powder processing equipment take shape, form three large white talc production base; since the end of the 90s is a mature product development stage, characteristic industry is "structural changes, the expansion of production capacity, process improvement, market stability". Most backbone production enterprises form an independent operation system for picking, selecting, processing, selling and transporting, and have relatively stable sales both at home and abroad.
First, industrial capital and capacity
1, the structure of industrial capital has changed greatly. With the reform of the property rights system of the state-owned enterprises, the private capital has entered the industry in recent years, and the capital structure of the industry has changed greatly. The proportion of state-owned enterprises has fallen sharply, and the proportion of joint-stock enterprises and private enterprises has risen rapidly. Among them, Liaoning is the most, Shandong is the second, and Guangxi is third.
2, standard mining, stable production capacity. For a long time, the talcum industry is in a situation of many enterprises, small scale, overexploitation and disorderly competition. Rectification after many years of mining, unauthorized mining waste of resources, production safety and other irregularities, many small mines, small mining field is closed, discontinued or eliminated, mining order trend specification. At the same time, the industry of large and medium-sized backbone enterprises through the establishment of modern enterprise system, improve the management level, relying on resources, capital, technology, market and other advantages, expanding the scale of production, so that the industry production capacity and a substantial increase in concentration, more than 80% of the production capacity in the industry backbone enterprises in the hands of 10% master.
Two, reserves and distribution of talcum resources
Talcum is one of the dominant minerals in non-metallic minerals in China. Our domestic high grade talcum is famous for its high whiteness, pure texture and less harmful ingredients. It enjoys high reputation both at home and abroad, and its output is the first in the world. Talc resources are distributed widely and relatively concentrated in China. 15 provinces have found talc with different reserves and grades. The largest reserves are five provinces, including Liaoning, Shandong, Guangxi, Jiangxi and Qinghai, which have more than 90% of talc reserves nationwide.  Among them, Liaoning, Shandong and Guangxi provinces with large reserves and production have become the main three major high quality white talcum areas in China.
In China, the talcum can be roughly classified as three types of geology. One is with magnesian carbonate deposit, white talc, good quality, such as Liaoning, Shandong, Guangxi and Shaanxi are two talc mines; the ultrabasic rocks of the ore deposits, often accompanied by magnesite, serpentine, diopside, chlorite and magnetite, such as Fujian, Putian, Xinjiang and other three talc Kumi what is black talc "; the ore deposit, often associated with quartz, calcite and dolomite, montmorillonite, such as Jiangxi Guangfeng, Yushan, Shangrao, Hunan, Shimen, Chongqing and other places of talc in nantong.
According to the situation of talc resources, (1) at present, China's Talc resources are still mainly located in Liaoning, Shandong and Guangxi provinces, and other provinces have not yet found large deposits comparable to talc grades, reserves and mining conditions. (two) although the resource reserves are large, high quality white talc (white degree 85 or more, less than 8.5%) accounts for less than thirty percent of the total talc reserves, while the middle and low grade talc is below 85 degrees. At present, the three areas of Liaoning, Shandong and Guangxi have different levels of high grade talc in short supply and low grade talcum competition. The main reason is: after decades of mining, a large mine in the middle stage of mining, small and medium-sized mines have been entering the depletion period; the two is the rapid development of the national economy and the progress of science and technology of new materials industry, application of high grade talc resources continue to expand. Especially in the eastern coastal areas, with the rapid development of papermaking, plastics, medicine, cosmetics and other downstream industries, the requirement of high grade talc products soared; three years of Japanese manufacturers in China have been purchasing talc material in recent years, Europe and the United States and other countries have also stepped up to our high grade talc procurement efforts the number of purchases increased year by year, a large number of China talc export to foreign markets; thus, the high grade talc resources in China will become more and more serious shortage situation.
Three. Production
Most of China's Talc mining is mechanically and artificially used. Easy exploitation of hillside open-pit mining, such as Guangxi Longsheng County Gu Ping and feet talc, followed by open pit mining, such as Shandong Province Pingdu Zhifang deposit. In addition, the majority of underground mining, the form of entry, shaft, shaft mining, or the two ways of combined mining. The natural caving method is commonly used in mining. Because of the low price of the talcum in China, it is necessary to reduce the cost of mining, whether it is open or underground mining. In recent years, the annual production of talcum in China has been maintained at about 2 million 500 thousand tons. The largest talc production concentrated in the Liaoning Haicheng area, Liaoning area talc production of about 1 million tons; Guangxi area mainly concentrated in Longsheng, Shanglin, Huanjiang area, the annual output of 50-60 tons; Shandong talc mainly in Pingdu and Laizhou and Qixia, with an annual output of about 40-50 million tons, the rest of the production an estimated 500 thousand tons.
Dry process is mainly used in the processing of talcum powder in China, and the main equipment is rayon machine, mechanical impact mill, air mill and all kinds of balls.
